Event counts toward club points!

Time: Breakfast available at 8 am followed by ride. Meet before the ride to get sheets, get buddies, get organized, get sustenance, and get psyched.
Ride begins: Around 8:30 am (+ or - depending on how hot the day is !) --until ???????? Open House all day.
Distance: Between 20-60 miles for marked courses (more--or less-- if you'd like to add-on your own distance).
Entry Fee: None; in the spirit of the event, bring something creatively "Belgian", or simply bring your own "specialty" dish or drink to contribute to the "pot luck" picnic. Buffet picnic, Belgian beer and other goodies provided in the back yard after the ride, under our lovely collection of Belgian beer cafe parasols.
Directions: South on Finderne Ave. at Rt. 22 (becomes Main St., Manville, then becomes Millstone River Rd) or south on Rt. 206 from Somerville Circle to Dukes Parkway East, then south at Main St.; from the south from Rocky Hill/206 north to River Rd. ramp-off (right), then north on River Rd. From east take Rt. 514 west to Millstone and north on Rt. 533. From west, take Rt. 514 east from the Higginsville course, cross 206, continue to the Millstone By-Pass (Rt. 533 north).
Come to the Picnic even if you can't ride--bring your family. (Child care can be arranged for you during the ride; help during the picnic, if you let us know in advance. Come to honor our wonderful little adopted country where cycling is rivaled in popularity by no other sport; where you can watch hours of bicycling racing on TV every day, commercial-free! Don't miss this great event! You never know when Eddy Merckx, or some other authentic Belgian citizen will make a surprise appearance!!
A ride for spouses, older children, and any non-racer wishing to participate at a leisurely pace along the nearby canal will be held if there is interest in this.
RSVP (so we know how much food and beer to provide) and for additional information call McKees at 908-874-6524 days or evenings or 908-256-3898 (Barb's GSM), or write e-mail: mckees11@comcast.net
